Hello world

Type what I mean not what I write

I work with terminal every day and even though I use the superior keyboard layout Colemak, I still make spelling mistakes when typing commands. Most often it is swapping the placement of two letters.

It is a hassle rather than an issue, but for the last couple of years I've started aliasing these occasional mistakes.

e.g.

alias gti="git"
alias bundel="bundle"
alias herkou="heroku"
alias rbuy="ruby"

It is a surprisingly simple improvement that has saved me seconds of re-typing commands everyday, but more importantly, kept me focused on what I'm working on instead of stopping to fix clumsy mistakes.

Oh and if you use git and you don't have auto correct enabled yet. Do it now! You can thank me later.

git config --global help.autocorrect 1

Life is too short to type slowly and spell correctly.
